Historic mansions, or historic venues in general, are my all-time favorite because of their timeless elegance and uniqueness. This summertime wedding, held at Highland Ranch Mansion, was full of laughter, color, and a whole lotta happy tears. With a chance for rain weighing in at heavily possible, this bride and groom totally lucked out with a wedding day mixture of overcast and sunny skies and a gorgeous Colorado sunset to end it all. Surrounded by family and friends, they had a quartet play an Avett Brothers song before saying their vows — with a stunning field backdrop (of wild horses!) behind them.
I’m on the lookout for some beautiful historic venues here in Huntsville, Alabama — Twickenham being one of my favorites! Are you getting married at a historic venue in North Alabama? I would love to hear about it!
