When Abby and Christopher reached out to me about having their portraits taken, I couldn’t help but be excited! These Decatur hot air balloon portraits are a new favorite. As you’ll soon see, these two are the cutest. And, might I add, incredibly easy to photograph! We drove from Huntsville to Decatur on Memorial Day weekend to use the annual Point Mallard Hot Air Balloon Festival as our backdrop. I have been wanting to photograph at this event for a long time and it did not disappoint! We arrived before the hot air balloons were up and running and took a few portraits in beautiful sunset light 🙂 Once the hot air balloons began to fill up with air, I knew these portraits would be something special. Talk about summertime magic! If you’re considering a unique engagement session or couple’s portrait scenario, I highly recommend waiting until the Point Mallard Memorial Day festival comes around for some beautiful, one-of-a-kind portraits.
