Some photographers worship bright days and sunbeams, but these Indian Creek couples portraits really make me appreciate the cloudy, humid days here in Alabama. Sunshine is always warm and happy but I enjoy cloudy days for their soft and ethereal-like beauty, too.

In the middle of August, Hannah and Brandon met me at Indian Creek for some couple’s portraits. They were ready for anything; including wading into the shallow water. Hannah wore the cutest pair of hunter green rain boots — my favorite outfit choice to date!

Sometimes photographing in public places can be tricky — as soon as we arrived, a group of children started playing in the creek beside us. The best part is, you never would have known!
