It’s taken me way too long to blog these couples portraits from the Great Sand Dunes! Last summer, Courtney and I took a road trip to Alamosa, Colorado (a very small town). We visited Taos, New Mexico and a few other spots before spending our last evening at a local hot spring. Of all places, that’s where we met Andre and Meg — the two amazing people you see below! They took on living in a van to travel around the United States and experience all of the beauty firsthand. We asked them if they had ever seen the Great Sand Dunes, they said no, and plans were made!
We arrived early in the morning to the dunes but the sand was still hot on our bare feet! If you’ve ever visited, you know it takes a little bit of a hike to get over near the actual dunes. We chatted as we hiked further into the sand (with what felt like 20 pounds of gear). Meg and Andre are such naturals in front of the camera — you can really tell they were meant for each other! After spending some time behind the camera, we sweated our way back to the cars and exchanged social media handles (so we could keep in touch!). Courtney and I needed a good road trip story and Meg and Andre gave us just that — and some epic photos to help us remember them!
Make sure to check out Meg on Instagram and follow along with their van life journey! Also, send them a congratulations as they are now engaged!
